We are each a miracle <\/p>\n\n\n\n
An organic vessel <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Sixty percent water<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A lump of protoplasm of various construction<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Formed into organs Processing nutrients <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Cleansing waste <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Cycling oxygen <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Supported by a calcified structure <\/p>\n\n\n\n
All controlled by a network of proteins <\/p>\n\n\n\n
And beyond this Animated by a spark <\/p>\n\n\n\n
That cannot be seen or heard or touched <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Yet which propels us <\/p>\n\n\n\n
To think, and imagine, and dream <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Mourn and hope and love <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Can such a machine <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Be anything short of miraculous?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Can we look at the rocks and trees <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Streams and oceans <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Sky and clouds <\/p>\n\n\n\n
And not see we are both part of <\/p>\n\n\n\n
And unique among Existence? <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Possessing the power <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Not merely to reproduce <\/p>\n\n\n\n
But to pass down our collective history <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Expressing feeling in poetry, music, sculpture, paint <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Touching the lives of generations yet unborn <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Possibilities and capabilities unheralded In the palm of our hands <\/p>\n\n\n\n
For we are humans <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Fellows <\/p>\n\n\n\n
And thus <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Miracles<\/p>\n\n\n\n
